Barajas hit by the pitch. Bases loaded.

If the ump wants to throw Homer out of the game, it's ok with me. Dusty should be throwing him out of the game.

Is he never allowed to have a bad start? He'd been nails for a while previous to his last start. Even Roy Halladay lays an egg every now and then.

I don't know that Arredondo is the guy I necessarily want coming in with nowhere to put the batter...
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Yeah, kind of an odd choice. Whatever.

Bailey's had quite a few bad starts this year. This isn't an isolated incident. He's better the he wa last season, but still inconsistant.

Barmes strikes out swinging. 4-2 Pirates mid 5th.

Johnny Cueto has too. So has Latos.

No pitcher throws a QS every time out.

The Reds really don't have any business being in this game, but are only down a couple of runs. How demoralizing would it be for the Pirates if the Reds were to come back and win the game?

I'll take a sub 4 era even if it is inconsistent.

Sure, but this game against our closest rival stinks. And it's two in a row. His last two starts show 8.1 innings of 18 hit ball, allowing 10 runs. Doesn't make sense.

Valdez flies out to the track in center.
