    Middle of the 8th and it is all tied up in Lansing at 2 apiece. Gerson pitched 6 strong innings, allowing just 2 runs (1 earned) on four hits. He walked one and struck out seven. Four solid starts in a row for Gerson.

    Bats fighting back with single tallies in the sixth and seventh. Felix Perez left the yard. Peacock, Soto and Perez with two hits each now. HRod with one. Kanekoa Texeira works a scoreless frame. 7-4. Mud Birds.

    Pensacola stretching it out, tacking on two more in the sixth. They now have scored four runs on four hits. Sharky not only dealing from the mound but has stroked a triple. Billy Hamilton with another hit, another stolen base and another run scored. 14 away from the record now.

    Looks like Dayton is playing a little free baseball tonight. Dan Jensen worked three innings in relief of Stalin Gerson. He gave up five hits and struck out nobody. But he kept them from scoring. Tied at two after nine.

    Jeff Gelalich singles and scores on Beau Amaral's second hit of the night. Cisco pitches a scoreless second, striking out two more. Billings leads 1-0 after two.

    Two walks, an infield single and Kyle Waldrop's third hit of the night deliver two runs in the top of the 10th and Dayton hangs on for a 4-2 victory.

    Louisville is doubled up 8-4 by Toledo. Rally caps not needed.

    Billings leads 3-1 after 5. Jeff Gelalich with two hits and two runs scored. Beau Amaral 3-3. Drew Cisco has given up one run and struck out five through five.

    Sharky has made a very nice transition into Double-A. He seemed to be fading a bit in Bakersfield, so it's good to see him respond. It's been quite a breakthrough season for him.

    Doug is spending a few days in Pensacola, so it will be interesting to see his scouting report on Rogers.

    Ryan Wright's first high-A homer has put Bakersfield ahead 2-0 in the first.

    Singles by Lohman, Wright and Selsky along with a sac fly off the bat of Juan Duran has enabled Bakersfield to double its lead. 4-0 after three.

    Wrenn and Amaral with three hits each. Gelalich and Sanchez have two apiece. Billings leads 4-2 heading in to the ninth. Ben Klimesh has pitched three innings in relief, giving up just one run and striking out six.
