We're actually not even falling back to earth. If anything it's variance balancing itself out. This team is right where it should be without Votto.
My point is Dusty never sits Bruce and finds ways to get Cairo and Valdez in there....he doesn't find ways for Heisey.
It ridiculous with the streakiness of Bruce and Stubbs that a guy with 20 runs in his last 24 starts hitting .311 gets 21 plate appearances in 15 games.
