If it wasn't for coco Cordero this team would be in full meltdown mode.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

On the bright side, we're still 2.5 games up, which seems almost impossible. But if they don't snap this skid pronto, that lead will vanish in no time.

Soriano and Castro ARE the Cubs' offense. They are the power guys for the team.

Have to use a more effective reliever in that spot. Arredondo pitched to one hitter and was lifted. Then Logan comes in with the two big bats up?

    Just very upsetting.
You can bet Logan will be inserted into that situation again soon.

    Absolutely agree.

11 runs in five games. All lost.

Without a doubt. And the result will be the same.

2 pitches cost us the game.

Who called the first pitch fastball to Castro after that ball he hit in the first inning?

Logans BP fastball to one of the best fast ball hitters in baseball..

No, this offense scoring three runs after leading 2-0 after four batters into the game is what cost them.

Would you have dealt Hamilton and the young pitchers to make the upgrades that were needed?

Yep, while agree Ondrusek should never pitch unless he's the only one left (paging Simon), they should have had enough runs that Baker would have felt obligated to use Broxton (with a lead). This offense is really struggling and have really poor AB's more often than not. I'd start Paul again.
