    Ludwick walks. 1st and 3rd for...Bruce.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

I guess we have to cut Jay some slack. He is going up against Chris Volstad.

You'd be hard-pressed to find anyone in the league that's putting together worse at-bats right now than Jay Bruce

I'm a Bruce fan, but he's killing the Reds right now. Awful ABs.

He is the definition of streaky, wow. His hot streaks and defense are worth putting up with the slumps though, IMO.

How long are they going to march him out there night after night at that place in the order to strike out or roll one to the right side? Just asking, but man is he lost!

Don't forget his weak popups to left field. Not sure what you do with him. It's not like the Reds have a lot of better options.
