No idea if something is wrong with Rolen.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

Volstad on the mound for Chicago, no reason for the Reds not to score runs.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Ugly day here, and an ugly forecast. I'd be surprised if there aren't delays of some kind today. Regardless, I'll be there.

That may be why Rolen isn't in the lineup. Dusty is too worried he may get injured if the playing surface is too bad.

You've got to get a bat like Cairo in whenever possible.

Ok, admit it....you couldn't keep a straight face while typing that, could you?

Not a good forecast for tonight:

Occasional showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 68. Breezy, with a north wind 15 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

It's crazy dark here in Chicago, and the forecast just keeps looking worse and worse. Can't believe I'm still going to brave this, but I think I am.

He used to play everyday, but that was when he ruled the world.

Cairo needs to play to work on that phantom groin pull or lat strain or whatever he's about to go on the DL for when 'ole Joey comes back

It's a little rainy and in the 60's lol. It's not like the world is ending.

I never thought that I would ever say this, but I need a break from the Reds. It's not the winning or losing, it's the grind of games, so after tonight, I won't have access to either TV or radio in Myrtle Beach for a week. Bring me back home with a 3-1 series record. And then win the rest of them.
