    BP singles to right
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Brandon is really good when he goes the other way. Wish he would do that more often.

If there is such a thing as a bad time for a team to get hot, it was the reds in July. The wrinkles were still there, just covered long enough to force inactivity.

I don't think being hot for 2 weeks is what kept Walt from making a move. I think its much more likely he didn't think Denard Span or whatever else was available was worth selling the rest of the farm for.

Jose in and a quality start for Leake. All that's missing is some runs.

Jose's success/failure seems to hinge on allowing a walk or not.

It seems like Arredondo hasn't been able to actually complete an inning in forever.
