Paul at least has been giving us quality at bats and running up the count...just sayin.

Bruce is a much better hitter at home, he may break out of this when they go to Cincy next week.

It's not a real answer, of course, he's hitting about .240 overall and has slumped badly of late

But Bruce is a much better hitter at home.

True. But if he played every day, he'd get exposed in a big way.

Hard to feel good about this.

When you're in a rut like that, it just takes one thing to break the cycle. It could be something extreme like changing his batting stance or as minimal as changing which shoes he wears. But the one thing you can't do is sit him and let him mull it over. You've got to hit your way out of a slump like that IMO.
I totally understand, but it's very frustrating. So much talent wasted. I hope the Brain Trust is as frustrated as I am.

The only corner the Reds got all night was the pitch right before Clevenger got tossed.

Perhaps...but as of now who will give you better at bats? Paul has been pretty solid every time he's had a bat in his hand.

He certainly can't do much worse.
