In theory, you're correct. In reality, this lineup is a poo-poo platter of awfulness.

I did say it last night. They should have. I guess I should say there's no 'good reason', with lack of performance being a bad reason.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Well, maybe they'll make me look silly. Here's hoping they do.

They just scored two runs without the benefit of a HR. Who is this team?

If this were the early 1900s and everybobdy had to have nicknames, what do you think Cozart's would be? I'm voting Popup Cozart. Even though he grounded out there, not popping out, per usual.

Cozart has been very good of late. I have high hopes for the young player.

If this team had a true lead off hitter, Cozart would have been much better hitting towards the bottom of the order. That would have let him have less pressure and developed a little quicker. I think he will be a very good MLB player nonetheless.
