Brewers are in the NL now. So I am retroactively petitioning that those hits count as NL hits.

The thing I really can't stand about Valdez is he has no patience at the plate. He has only walked 5 times in about 120 ABs. When you are that weak of a hitter you should probably try to be patient and get on base to help your team, not have 1 pitch groundouts every AB.

Arroyo on a mini-roll. Seven straight.

I knew the answer as I have a few of the Topps Rose cards that tribute him surpassing Musial.

It's also how I know Reggie Jackson led the league in triples with 17 (as a minor leaguer)....didn't have the video games and channels back then!

    Agreed.

But maybe he's just taking batting tips from Player/Coach Cairo (2 walks in 104 ABs).

I think it's fair to say that this is not a playoff-caliber offense.

Top two in the order are 0-6 with five strikeouts.

If and when Votto comes back, Dusty has to keep Ludwick in the 4 hole and move Phillips up in the order.

That pitch was a strike for Wood, ball for Arroyo.
