    I was thinking the same thing. Made NO sense. Neither did letting Wood hit against Bronson with 3 lefties sitting on your bench, then removing Wood before he has a chance to pitch. Not Sveum's greatest game managing. Redszone would be in full-blown seizure mode if Dusty made those series of moves.

    I can at least understand Wood hitting, as he's a pretty good hitting pitcher. But if you're gonna yank him, why give Stubbs and Phillips a chance to bust out when they're so good against LHP? It was definitely not Dale's best day.

    Normally, I would agree with letting Wood hit. But Bronson REALLY struggles against lefties, and even though Wood is a good-hitting pitcher, a guy like Bronson is probably hard to handle for a pitcher, especially a righty. With two outs and nobody on it's really kind of nitpicking, probably doesn't make a difference regardless. Still kind of silly though.
