Valdez swings at the first pitch, right to first for the third out.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Wood faced four Reds in the second, on five pitches....

In fairness, Wood is pounding the zone. That said, they probably should lay off the first pitch.

I have no problem swinging at the first pitch, as long as it's a hitter's pitch.

DeJesus vs. Arroyo with the bases loaded

DeJesus wins. Single up the middle.

    2-0 Cubs

Why even throw a strike on 0-2?

I've said it here many times but I hate watching Arroyo pitch. 0-2 hits are the norm for him
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.

    Barney pops up to 2nd.

2-0 Cubs after 2. Reds can't let Wood get into a rhythm. And Arroyo has to stop sucking.

Can the reds make Wood throw six pitches this inning?

Hanigan goes to a full count, and flies out to right.
    Arroyo K's
    Cozart K's looking.
