Sometimes I watch this team play and I wonder how in the world they are in first place.

I think the lack of Rolen really exploits the team's hitting weakness. It's hard to win with Cozart, Stubbs, and Valdez/Cairo getting so many at-bats per game.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

    1-2-3 3rd for Arroyo. Still 2-0 Cubs after 3.

I have to give up my PBP duties. Hopefully the Redlegs do something interesting in my absence.

Heisey in an 0-2 hole, neither pitch a strike. Now he strikes out looking without ever swinging the bat

Umpire seems to have a big zone guys need to adjust. No matter how long Heisey stares at it I don't think the guy will just change his zone.

Mr. "bobble-ball, my brother pitches for the brewers", is going to subtly tilt the playing field today.
