    Juan Perez's second half (46 GP): .293/ .348/ .527/ .874
A 16.5 K rate is solid, but his BB rate is only 6% in that same time.
    8 HR, 4 3B, and 12 2B in his 200 2nd half ABs as well.

LH, still only 20. Plays SS (poorly, apparently) and 2B.
Underrated, IMO, and one to keep an eye on.

Hamilton (3-4, 2.88) added one more late steal. He's at 139, which means he could easily break the record (145) this week. (He's stolen 20 in the last 10 games.)

Freeman got the save. The Wahoos won, 7-3.

With an ERA like that, you'd figure Hamilton would have a better win-loss record.

In my opinion, the best position player on the 2012 Dragons. Plays the game aggressively and instinctively. Hits both LH and RH pitching. Good measure of a player in A-ball is what does he do when the opposing pitcher is really battling to get him out in a key spot, and Perez is hitting .325 with runners in scoring position. Good base runner, though not super fast. Good athlete. Does not have the arm to project as a big league shortstop, but could handle shortstop in a utility role. Should make a fine second baseman. Smart kid, good attitude, good worker, good leader.

Good point on the age (20). Key thing here: I think people get too hung up on age alone without looking at the experience level of the player. Example: A 19 year old who signed at age 16 and has been through three fall instructional leagues, three spring trainings, and three years of playing everyday in the minors SHOULD be farther along than a 20 year old who signed straight out of junior college and has barely played. Perez was at College of the Canyons just over one year ago.
