Six innings of awesome will be all the Mustangs get out of Guillon tonight. Bennett Klimesh came on and pitched a scoreless 7th. Bruins outfield duo has slapped three singles tonight - two by Amaral, one by Gelalich.
Shawon Dunston's kid, Shawon Dunston, plays for the AZL cubs. His daddy had a bazooka.
Matthews, Estevez and Valdelamar with doubles. Peterson and Rahier with singles. AZL Reds lead 4-1 after three. Luke Moran with 3IP 2H 1UER 1BB 4K.
Brian Peacock homers as the Bats cut the lead to six. They trail 11-5 after seven and a half innings of play.
Felix Perez with two hits, raising his average to .295.
His OPS by month: .513/.586/.846/.826/.941.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!
I'd keep them in Billings and let them chase a championship. You could argue that that would enhance their development more than uprooting them to go play for a second-division club. You start to build a winning mentality right from the outset of their professional careers. Staying in the same league also allows them to see pitchers/hitters multiple times and start learning the cat-and-mouse game of making adjustments. Not sure what some of these guys in Billings have to do to get a promotion. Guillon, Mejias-Brean, Winker, and arguably Vincej (in abbreviated time) have all dominated the league to the point where they have demonstrated they are more than ready for the next challenge in full season ball.
Agree. I see little benefit in a move to Dayton this late. If they are successful in winning the second half, Billings has to be the odds on favorite to win the Pioneer playoffs. That would extend the season and be a great experience for the players and the Billings fans as well.
It was a good three innings for Los Bambinos Rojos last night. But after that, hide the women and the children. The Babiest of Bears struck for 17 runs on 25 hits and sent LBR to their rooms without supper. Final was 17-7. The Baby Reds made five errors for good measure. Everyone in the lineup had at least one hit.
The infielders for the AZL Reds are having a tough time with the leather so far in 2012. Rahier has 15 miscues, Rachal has an even dozen and Peterson has 18. That is ugly.
