Louisville falls 6-2. Ex-Reds' farmhand Scott Carroll holds the Bats pretty much in check for seven. Sean Gallagher went five strong but faltered in the sixth. Bill Bray pitched an inning, giving up a hit and striking out one. J.J. Hoover with a scoreless frame.
Offensively, Henry Rodriguez went 2-4. Felix Perez singled and is at .296 on the year. Navarro doubled and Valaika singled.
Pensacola had their hitting shoes on tonight. They scored nine runs on 15 hits. Donald Lutz had four hits, including two bombs. Tucker Barnhart added three hits. Two hits for Fellhauer, LaMarre and Greene. Hamilton had a walk, a double and a sac fly but no steals. David Vidal had a hit and a sac fly.
Chad 'Sharky' Rogers shut down the opposition for five until giving up a pair of runs in the sixth.
Pensacola leads 9-5 going into the bottom of the ninth. Justin Freeman on the mound to close things out. It just went final. Blue Fish win 9-5.
Donald Lutz went 4-5 tonight with two long ones, effectively filling the void created by Slidin Billy's lack of a stolen base. The Hoos took it, 9-5. Barnhart had three hits. Justin Freeman finished by fanning 4 in 1.1 IP.

After four innings in Tacoland - AKA Bakersfield - the Blaze trail 2-0. Travis Mattair is 2 for 2 and has his average up to .270. Juan Duran has the other Blaze hit. Mattair has been en fuego since the ASG. In 196 at-bats, not including tonight's 2 for 2, he is OPSing .927.
