The Desert Rugrats trail 5-2. Pedro Diaz has worked 3 forgettable innings. He has allowed all five runs on six base hits. Jonathan Reynoso was 1 for 2 but left the game due to an injured hand after a single to left. He was replace by Brayan Arias who promptly stole both second and third before scoring on an error. Adam Matthews doubled and was plated by Wilfrel Estevez' single.
Mo Wiley struck out the side in the ninth to save Billings' 3-0 win. Brandon Dailey and Jon Matthews tripled and Zach Vincej added a couple hits.
The Mustangs are 12-4 in the second half and will be a game ahead of Missoula when the night is out.

Bakersfield scores twice in the seventh to cut the deficit to 3-2. Selsky singled, Duran doubled and Muller singled. Tim Crabbe with a quality start. He gave up 3 runs in six innings. Pat Doyle is coming on to pitch the bottom of the seventh.
Juan Duran (three hits) and Kurt Muller (two hits) combine for a run in the top of the ninth to tie the game at 3. Pat Doyle heads out for his third inning of work in the bottom half of the inning and gives up a walk-off homer to the lead-off hitter. Blaze fall 4-3.
AZL Reds' late rally turns out to be a mirage as they fall 7-6. Wilfrel Estevez had three hits and drove in three runs. The running Reds did steal seven bases. Mike Saunders (1.47) and Jose Guzman worked six innings in relief, giving up two runs (only one of which was earned).
