    FWIW, if Bruce had not gotten picked off, everything would likely have been changed.

    Very true. That's always been a pet peeve of mine too, but it seemed more fun to chide Bruce for it anyhow.

    If there is one thing that underlies the Reds record during Votto's injury is that defense does not slump, and is the most underrated aspect of winning baseball.
