I expected XMan to play today instead of Ludwick. Lefties do a little better against Dickey in the OBP department.

Maybe XMan will pinch hit if the situation arises.

Wow, I would not have guessed that.

.922 in July, and 1.077 in August. That'll do.

Volquez has already thrown over 80 pitches in less than 4 innings. Seems familiar.

I think Phillips is excited having knocked in that first run.

Phillips is gonna screw around one day and cause Stubbs to back off.

Can anyone here please explain to me why Dusty is giving away outs bunting Cozart to third when this catcher can't even catch Dickey's knuckleballs, let alone throw anyone out? Seriously, he 's struggling bigtime behind the plate yet Dusty's not sending anyone...why?

He's walking 5 1/2 guys per nine innings this year. Eek.

Because Stubbs is just gonna strikeout anyway.

    Reds 3-1 bottom six.

Dodgers 5-2 over Bucs so far, mid fifth.

    Cards and DBacks are scoreless.

I've said it before...I absolutely despised having to play defense behind a guy that can't throw strikes. It gets hard to focus. Playing behind Volquez has got to be maddening.
