    I'm going to play devils advocate.

    Let's say the reds win the division and goes deep in the play-offs or even World series.

    Dusty does not have a contract for next year.

    Will he do what he did in San Francisco, and leave for a bigger payday like he did when he went to the Cubs?

    I'm assuming that is what happened. Why wouldn't the Giants offer him a contract after going to the WS?

    This is what happened right? It's been a while and I might have forgotten something about the situation in San Fran.

    Dusty has big leverage in negotiations. He'll be in demand and he could easily just retire. So the Reds or somebody is going to give him a big deal or he'll just go back to ESPN and enjoy his life.
