    Re: 8/17/2012 Cubs at Reds

Pirates take a 1-0 on an error. Still have the bases loaded with no outs.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Is Broxton available? He was hurting recently and hasn't pitched forever.

If Reds have a big lead toward the end, wouldn't be surprised to see big Jon tonight.

Reds up 4, Arroyo at 103 pitches, rested pen, Arroyo not exactly mowing them down but he hits for himself, top of lineup coming up. Wow. He better be on a short leash.

I know there is a doubleheader coming up but wow.

Yeah, great play, but Reds are lucky two guys aren't on base. Middle of the order up, would seem a decent time to get someone ready.

Now another hit. Two on, one out, big hitters coming up.

    Here comes Dusty.

Don't really feel comfortable here with the way the Cubs touched up our bullpen last week. Hopefully GABP plays more in their favor than Wrigley did that day.

    Gameday reports Arredondo coming in.

Once Reds clear Soriano and Castro, I'd look for Marshall and Chapman.

With a doubleheader tomorrow, it would behoove the Reds to get through this game with as little bullpen activity as possible.
