Friday 8/17/2012 Reds' Minor League Updates

Louisville and Charlotte in a pitching duel. Charlotte leads 1-0 after six. Kanekoa Texeira started and pitched very well. He gave up just one hit in five innings of work and no runs. Will Ohman and Carlos Fisher worked the sixth when Charlotte scored their lone run. Neftali Soto stays hot, lashing a couple of singles. Costanzo, Miller and Puckett with one single apiece.

Hamilton strikes out in the 6th. That will probably be his last at-bat tonight.

Bakersfield scored 4 in the first, 2 of them on Selsky's 16th HR, counting his 3 in Dayton.

High Desert scored 5 in the second. Daniel Renken is having a really, really rough time of it lately.

Bakersfield ended up losing 11-10. Selsky was 4-4, bringing his Cal League average to .351 with a .420 OBP. Earlier in the year, he hit .281 in 228 AB in Dayton.

Theo Bowe was caught stealing twice. He has quite a flair for that.
