He certainly didn't pitch well tonight, but I don't think he's a bad pitcher. He couldn't throw where he wanted to tonight, and that usually isn't a problem for him, looking at his numbers. He's only walked around 2.5 guys for essentially his whole career.

Not the right play there, Todd.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

    Good thought. Bad throw.

Why play back and then not take the out at first?

This is the point on my old Play Station where I'd have hit the reset button.

Alright, time to get some hits here. Pick up your teammates.

Let's not forget this is the Cubs. This game isn't even close to over.

I really hope Redmond doesn't start again for this team. But I can probably name 10 pitchers off the top of my head from the Lost Decade that are worse than him.

He's just got nothing special. Perhaps we as Reds fans have gotten spoiled recently.

I agree. There is a reason he's 27 and never had a major league start. That being said, I don't think he's a complete disaster.

My impression of him was that he's a better pitcher with more upside than what he showed tonight certainly, and that he could be a decent #5 type at some point, at least based on the reviews of him during the trade.

No not at all. I do think nerves got the better of him...understandable. No way he'd have made it this far in his career if he were this wild.
