Clevenger up, man on first. Rizzo on deck. Lot of lefties for the Cubs.

    Clevenger bunts. Double Play!

And Valdez slightly redeems himself. Big double play there.

Rizzo the batter. Two out, nobody on, 1-2 count.

    Rizzo bounces to Phillips.

    Will Latos hit for himself?

Somebody please take over PBP. Thanks.

I'd call it a day for Mat.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Remember last year when many were questioning Cozart's defense and lamenting how we'd miss Janish? I still like Janish defensively, but Cozart is better IMO.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Did you see Jackson throwing his right arm into Cozart as he slid into second base? Looked very bush league to me. Anyone else see that?

It looked like he was almost trying to grab Cozart.

Missed it live, but saw it on replay. Good job by Cozart to still make an accurate throw after that.

Stubbs needs to stop taking fastballs right down the damn middle.

As good an example of any right there as to why Drew Stubbs is hitting .228. Swing and miss at a belt high fastball putting you into an 0-2 hole. Simply not good enough beyond that to do much of anything of note.

Let's hope Mat has one more good inning in the tank. Dusty obviously thinks he does, top of the order coming up for Cubs.

Broxton apparently up in the pen.

DeJesus has Latos' number today. Infield hit.
