    Re: Reds-Phils series 8/20

It's a shame the Reds didn't pull out the last game, seeing as they went up 3-1 against Hamels, but it's hard to be to upset with a split. Hoover also looked good in some tough spots.

I know it's getting late in the season and players need rest, but I'd really like to see Dusty not resting Phillips and Rolen on the same days. Starting both Valdez and Cairo is no bueno and really unnecessary IMO.

The problem wasn't that he had already pitched twice in a row, but had pitched 5 of 6 games.

Having him pitch 6 of 7 games going into the Cards series wouldn't be wise..

I'm just glad that last game didn't end up in some crazy 19 inning game like what happened with StL and PIT Sunday.

Oops, I forgot that.. At least we split the 4. I'm happy.

Last night.. just wasn't our night.. I just had the feeling the defense eventually wouldn't be able to bail out the pen.. oh well, not bad to get the split.
Thank you Walt and Bob for going for it in 2010-2014!

Time to step on the Cardinals' necks and make them beg for mercy.

    That won't help them though.

Strike first strike hard no mercy sir!

I want to eat their children.

I think of all the things Chris needs to explain to this son, this will be the hardest.
