I like that they sent down Ondrusek. It seems like the Reds are setting a standard and even though Ondrusek is ok, the Reds want more better. I like it.
I assume that Ondrusek has to remain in the minors for 10 days? And I also assume that's why he went two innings last night - because they knew this was coming.
So when Mes is back in 2 days we send Navarro back and recall....Hoover?

Yes he has to be in the minors for 10 days unless someone has to go on the dl then can be recalled before those 10 days are up. Also with him being sent down today he can be recalled on August 31 and still be playoff roster eligble.

Why Navarro and not Corky? Navarro cost us a win with his shoddy defense the last time he was up.

Switch hitter that is historically quite a step up from Corky's offensive numbers. I think Corky is pretty instrumental in the player development in Lousiville, too, so they may not have wanted to upset that this close to the end of the minor league season.
Its only for a few days and Corky is not going to throw the ball around like the Bad News Bears, I think Corky is a future Reds manager.
