The Phillies messed that kids swing up big time. They were trying to fix it, because mechanically at least, it wasn't pretty, but it worked for him and he had gotten results with it. They tried to change it anyways and at least so far, it has been a terrible plan.

I know it's the thing to do to bash the players on here, but Bruce did not look that slow to me on that. Just an incredible, amazing throw in the air to nail the runner...and it wasn't even close.

I really like that the Phils go all the way with their throwbacks by wearing the helmet. I usually can't stand throwback nights because hitters look ridiculous and mismatched with the helmet.

It's kind of a shame because a few years ago, there were visions of sugar plumbs dancing in their heads with a LF-RF combo of Michael Taylor and Domonic Brown. But so far, neither have done anything. Taylor is barely even a prospect now.

Arroyo unable to get through 4 under 40 pitches. If this game goes 12, the bullpen may have to be deployed.

    Whatever Bronson.

Didn't they trade Taylor to the A's?

Philly hitters hacking tonight. Arroyo just 41 pitches through 4 innings, although with Bronson, I don't think it's as much the pitch count as the number of times the hitters see him in a particular game.
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.

Yessir, he was included in the 3-team trade that involved Halladay.

Without saying the dreaded words, when was the last guy to do it for the Reds? Browning? Or did someone do it after Tom?

The Dads get a run back from Pittsburgh, 4-1 in the 4th.
