    Rolen flies out to right.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

That was a Griffey-like swing from Bruce. Wow. Natural power on a cookie.

3-1 Redlegs to the bottom of 8.

Polanco robs Bronson. He can't buy a hit tonight. Two great snags on his hard hit balls. Brown and now Polanco.

I know, and I hope that's not the case only from the standpoint I'd still like to see them stay competitive and beat out St. Louis for the wildcard.

The Reds already have the biggest lead of any division in baseball.

The goal is 7 games up with 6 to play.
The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. -- Terrance Mann (Field of Dreams)

Dusty needs to use Chapman again if necessary to pin this down. Then tomorrow he can rest.

IF he has to. Right now Bronson's on cruise control. He's totally dominant right now.

Brown is the only guy who's gotten good swings off him. And again with the double.

That wasn't an especially difficult play, but man, Cozart is really, really solid at short.
