Hell of a throw from Stubbs to nail Pierre at the plate.... Wasn't even close... Hanigan blocked the plate like a pro.

Hanigan completely blocked off the plate. Pierre couldn't get near it.

Now Howard, let's not get too giddy.

Walk to Howard, bags full. Dominic Brown.

    Cueto 64 pitches.

Cueto will be lucky to get through 5 tonight.

    Johnny gets out of it.

Was lucky to get the Stubbs throw cutting off a run.

But it wasn't luck how the inning ended. Cueto pitched pretty brilliantly to end that inning.

Went full to Howard and didn't give in to him. Walked him rather than tempt the big home run hitter.

Then got Dominic Brown, who is not Ryan Howard, to go fishing for a K.

    Excellent job.

Hole Camels officially in a rhythm.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Each pitcher with 68 pitches, but Hamels is an inning ahead of Cueto.

Wilson Valdez has a .453 OPS. You kind of have to laugh at that.

In light of new evidence, I declare this game officially played under protest. Cole Hamels is legal, binding property of the Padres.

There are 5 players in baseball with a minimum of 100 PA's and an OPS below .460. The Reds are starting two of them on the same side of the infield tonight.

    You likely mean position players.
