    Thursday 8/23/2012 Minor League Updates

Louisville on the short end of a 6-1 score tonight through eight innings. What has gotten into Willie Harris? Two doubles and a walk. And scored the lone Bats' run. Felix Perez (.301) drove him in.
Todd Redmond with a pretty solid go of things. 6IP 5H 2R 1ER 0BB 6K. Bill Bray and Logan Ondrusek followed with shaky outings.

James Allen registers another fine start tonight for the Daytons: 6 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 3 K. It's in the eighth, and Sean Buckley has driven in the only run of the game.

Strong pitching performances seem to be the order of the night as Dayton leads 1-0 in the middle of the eighth. The Dragons scored their run in the sixth despite losing base runners on back to back plays. Diaz walked, Yorman Rodriguez singled. Diaz was thrown out at third, Yorman took second and Dragons' hitting coach was ejected. Next batter was Sean Buckley who singled Rodriguez home but was thrown out at second. James Allen went six scoreless, giving up just four hits and two walks. Carlos Gonzalez tossed a scoreless seventh.

Pensacola's up 5-0 now, but Billy has been CS twice. What's up with that?

Jesse Winker was thrown out by 20 feet at second base as he tried to take an extra base on the throw home. The throw was cut off and he essentially never stopped running after he hit the ball.
