    Friday 8-24-12 Minor-Legue Updates

Yorman's slam capped a 5-run seventh inning that was the difference in Dayton's 8-4 victory. Jefry Sierra had three hits.

    Ismael Guillon wasn't as sharp as he's lately been: 5.2 IP, 8 H, 3 R, 2 BB, 5 K. Lucas O'Rear got the win with 1.1 IP of hitless relief, fanning 3.

Billings now down 14-3 after seven. That's really gonna mess with their Pythag.

Blaze blanked 2-0. The bats were quiet. When you have more errors (3) than hits (2) you are in for a rough night. Singles by Selsky and Duran. Duran quietly having a decent month. .297/.333/.473/.906. Tim Crabbe pitched okay. 5IP 2BB 6K. Relivers Wolford and Contreras were unscored upon.

Billings fell 14-4. Jeff Gelalich looks like he has found his stroke with 3 more hits. 11 hits in his last six games. Carlos Sanchez had a hit. I am too tired to check. Probably was another triple.
