Yep. For me the play at 1B on Beltran was the worst thing in the whole inning.

This team is the best scoring team in the NL I believe...

You can't throw the cheese belt high to this team...
Not this year...maybe a Wild Card

Which is sort of an important factor when they are your primary competition in the division just about every year, especially when he's your "#2."

Wow is this ugly. Wild pitch movs the runners to 2nd and 3rd.

Simon has officially regressed to his mean.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Actually that should be a passed ball. It went right off Hanigan's glove.

Extra innings and late travel catching up to them.

This inning has completely deflated the stadium/crowd.
    2014 predictions:
99-63 WS champs (Cards take 2nd WC, Mil 3rd, Pit 4th, Chi 5th)
Bruce/Votto neck and neck MVP race (neither takes it)
    Bailey CYA winner
    Hamilton ROY & GG

As a former 1st baseman...you got to make that play. His back was turned, and Frazier assumed Latos was going to be there...he could of made it to the bag if he would of hustled from the getgo.

The use of Arredondo and Hoover last night comes back to haunt. Simon really isn't the guy for this situation.

He's hardly pitched in weeks, this isn't a good spot for him.

Now second and third, 3-0 count. Oy.

Reds are down 1 run in this game and up 7 games in the division. Just wanted to post that in case any newcomers to the thread thought the Reds were losing 10-0 and lost 9 games in the standings since last night.

This is why Simon is a 6th inning pitcher.

Simon now looking like the pitcher the Orioles got rid of.

Re: 8/24/12 - Reds vs Cards

Question: Did the Reds send Latos back to Cincinnati early, or did he get in at 4:00 a.m. this morning like the rest of the team?

Simon sure didn't leave early last night....

I think these guys might just be a little tired.
