    yup, a small army.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Pirates are who we thought they are.

I'm all for not giving up yet another run after scoring one in the half inning before.

I think reality is setting in for the fans too. The weather was not great there tonight but the stands when I just flipped to that game stands were almost empty for what is a big series at least in the wild card race.

I think that series against the Reds earlier in the month took a lot out of the Pirates. They took the last one of that series but it seemed like they came in with a chip on their shoulders and the Reds knocked it right off by winning the first two. They've been struggling ever since.

I don't know the numbers off hand, but it seems like their dive has coincided with Walker's injury and McCutcheon coming down to Earth.
