Almost feel like a tie after this inning is the best case scenario.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

This trend of allowing runs immediately after scoring one is very troubling.

Reds are in a bad pattern recently where it seems like as soon as they get a lead they lose it the next half inning.

The Reds have just seemed out of synch since the Cubs series. One night it's the offense, the next it's the starting pitching, the next it's the pen.

    What's our record since then?

On the bright side, the meat of the order is up next inning.

I've critiqued the Pirates announcers who seem to have calmed down of late.

The DBacks announcers are into "how about a gapper here" when their hitters come up with RISP.

    Let's beat them by 14.
