Buckley kicked off his week by torching host Fort Wayne with a homer, three doubles and seven RBIs in two games on Monday and Tuesday and finished it by going deep against West Michigan on both Saturday and Sunday. A sixth-round pick in 2011, Buckley leads the Dragons with 13 homers and 65 RBI and is batting .310 with runners in scoring position.
I remember when the initial reaction when Buckley was selected that it was nepotism. It wasn't long before some pointed out that he was a highly regarded draft prospect. Glad management talked Dad into having the organization draft him.
