If you are a lead-off hitter and you can't get on base, at least have the decency to make the opposing pitcher throw you more than four pitches in two at-bats.
Cozart is solid with the leather.
Latos has settled down nicely. Seven straight set down. Just 22 pitches in the last two innings.

Boy, this lineup is bad. Outside the Phillips-Bruce-Frazier trio(with Heisey in support) just a bunch of automatic outs.
In most cases, you want your 8th spot hitter to get on base so that the pitcher won't lead off the next inning.
In the case of the Reds today, I am cheering for Latos to get on base so that we don't have either of the first two hitters leading off the next inning.
Phillips cues on to second. One down.
