Nice hustle by Castro on the error.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Cards had 1st & 3rd with no outs and don't get in a run. Their RBI-less streak is now at 36 innings.

I can't tell if Leake just isn't sharp tonight or if he's selectively picking his battles very carefully. Either way, it's working thus far, though it hasn't been pretty.

Interesting stat, Bruce now has 6 errors. He had 7 combined in the last 2 years, 9 in the last 3.

Leake needs a nice quick inning like Abad just had.
