BB/K rate is a decent measure of plate discipline. Walks compared to strikeouts. Higher number is better, more walks, fewer Ks. In considering Heisey's long-term role, keep these 2012 K/BB stats in mind:

    Hanigan 1.18
    Votto 1.09
    Prince Fielder 1.00
    EE .85
    Pujois .70
    J. Upton .50
    ARod .44
    Bruce .43
    Phillips .38
    Cozart .28
    Stubbs .28
    Valdez .21
    Heisey .18

Drew Stubbs is even more abhorrent.

Did anybody else find it interesting Frazier was in RF yesterday and Heisey was in LF? Why wouldn't you play Heisey in RF where he has played more than Frazier? Am I reading too much into that?

I kind of was hoping to see more of Phipps after he went yards against LA, but I know that was a reach.

Not sure -- what exactly are you reading into it?

I think Ludwick was going to start in LF but I'm guessing they didn't want him to aggravate his groin on a wet field.
