If this game goes extras, that really hurts us.
But he was walking away when he got tossed. I don't think he said any of the magic automatic ejection words or anything.

Exactly. He was booted long before he challenged anyone's authority.

Yea - Phillips' actions did not warranty that ejection. Not even close. I couldn't believe what slipped past FSN's editors though. LOL

I didn't catch exactly when the ejection happened. I just wish he would've controlled his emotions better, that's all. I'm not trying to demonize him for it, hope I'm not coming off as too harsh. With Votto out, we really can't afford to lose him in the middle of our lineup in a tight game.

Then again, we're up 9.5 so I guess we can lol.

Yea, that ump needs some thicker skin. Can't throw out everyone that asks for a check from first base. It didn't even look like Brandon said anything on his way back to the dugout. Got tossed though for some reason.

Right, it does hurt to lose him. I just couldn't believe he got tossed when he did. He blew up afterwards but at that point he had nothing to lose.

I agree. I would have been equally hot given the circumstances. That was unreal.

I rewound it and looked at it, you're probably right. Was a quick trigger.

Bailey running into some trouble here. Two on with one out.

    I'd pull Homer.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Not me. He's allowed 3 hits, 1 run and 1 bb with 8 k's. Just now reached 100 pitches. Regardless of score, he's still in control.

I just saw the highlight of the Phillips ejection on gameday. Yeah, really quick trigger by the ump. It makes me think Brandon must've uttered one of the magic words under his breath.
