    A Laynce Nix sighting. If Baker would have started him instead of Gomes, Halliday would not have pitched that perfect game.

    Better to have three shots with the lefties than just two. Gomes was an automatic out against Halliday. You just can't parade 7 right handed batters up there against a quality right handed pitcher. (And some days even a mediocre right handed pitcher.)
