Howard beats the shift by going to left. Not intentionally. Ball came off the end of the bat.

maybe the one and two spots in the order are just jinxed?

Mayberry lifts one just over the head of Gregorius. 1st and 2nd.

Do the Reds shift on everybody? Ground ball where the shortstop normally would be. Howard lumbers home. 1-0. Heisey with a strong throw.

Carew Tower was wobbling as Howard pounded toward home.

4-0. Geez. Kratz takes Leake deep again. 3-run shot this time.

Leake has moments where he can't get anyone out. Better get someone warming.

    Votto is obviously a cancer!

Kratz may be a part-timer but he can hit. .971 OPS this year.

Mesoraco is back up but that is odd he isn't starting. To me it is anyway.

Would it be possible for us to get Mes and Navarro on our postseason roster? You figure Hanigan will be our starter and Mes the emergency backup, but Navarro can definitely be a good PHer.

Drew Stubbs finds it odd as well.

Roy Halladay with a 4 or more run lead is 109-0 in his career.

    That's good.
