I just wouldn't trust Leake. I know he's capable of throwing really good games on occasion, but his bad is terrible and we couldn't risk it.

That's fine....but I still think he would be more valuable than a couple of our middle relief guys.....he's been good against the teams we'll face in the playoffs. Complete game at SF, good against Dodgers and one of our best versus St Louis.

Don't you have to take into account the fact that those starts were earlier in the year and he is getting pounded just about every time he steps on the mound now?

    How about these numbers.

    Mike Leake in his career.
    1st half - 4.01
    2nd half - 5.87 (including today's game)

Maybe Leake just wears down over the course of the season.

4-6-3 Gregorius seems tall for a ss.

Pierre robbed Gregorius. Gregorius returns the favor.

It gets quiet when the Reds trail by six. Did everyone move to another game thread?

Solid single to left by Heisey to get this comeback started. Time to hang a 1 in the loss column for Doc 109-0.

Philly broadcaster stated that Heisey was the third player from Messiah College to play in the pros.
