    Wednesday 9-5-12 Minor-League Updates

Billings, in effect, is playing for the division title (second half) tonight. If the Mustangs beat Missoula, they're assured of advancing to the playoffs through the tiebreaker procedure. If they lose, the final game tomorrow night will determine the division champ.

After two, it's 0-0. Cisco pitching for the good guys.

Cisco pitches a scoreless third. Runs are at a premium tonight. Mustangs lead 1-0 on a solo home run by Jesse Winker.

Missoula are the Osprey? No way they can beat the Mustangs. Billings gets a single and nothing else in the fourth. They still lead 1-0. Winker has a home run. Mejias-Brean and Gomez have singles.

Cisco must have an excellent curve. His fastball is sitting 88-90. Fifth K for Cisco for the second out in the fourth.

Billings announcer with a nice line. Curve ball that was suitable for framing. I like it. Fastball right down broadway. Strike three as the Cisco Kid rides on. Six Ks through four.

Okay this is a little odd. One of the sponsors on Billings' radio is for tattoos and body piercing. Chico's Bail Bonds anyone??

Amaral reaches first somehow. Wild pitch moves him to second. Nobody out.

Seth Mejias-Brean's nickname is Captain Caveman. LOL.

Ball in the dirt moves Vincej into scoring position at second.

Winker whiffs. Mejias-Brean pops to the second baseman in short right. Maddox strikes out for the third time on the night. No runs out of a second and third, no-outs situation.

Cisco is throwing a ton of strikes. Slow hit ball to the right side but Cisco makes a nice play for the first out. Called third strike - KKK KKK K. 0-2 on all three batters so far this inning. Liner to short. Nine in a row for Drew Cisco.

Mustangs go meekly in the top of the sixth. Two strikeouts and a ground out, I believe. Cisco to the mound for the sixth time.

Leadoff single. K number 8. Ground ball to second for the out number two. Runner standing on second. Fly ball to Amaral. 3 outs. Cisco retires 12 of the last 13.

The minor league experience seems so much better than the majors. Sounds like they are having something fun going on every inning.
