Lots of close pitches tonight. Two HBP. What gives?

An Astro needs to be hit tonight. Two HBP ... lots of high and tight pitches.

He looks fine. We're up 5-1 on the Astros, good time to rest him.

Brewers have blown a couple chances like that tonight that would have totally put that game away.

    Votto hit by the pitch
Trevor Rosenthal (rookie pitcher - probably going to be another Reds killer as a starter after next season - good pitcher, btw, saw him at Single A in the Quad Cities) got two strikeouts and then induced a ground ball out to get out of the inning.

Cubs now up 4-3 on the Pirates in the 8th.

    Ludwick pops out to 1st.

    Tough night for Ludwick
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Some Astro needs to get plunked....seriously...the message needs to be sent not only to the Astros but the rest of the league.

You hit Votto....you get it too..

The Cards do it all the time.
Not this year...maybe a Wild Card

They were simply pitching him inside. Part of the game. I don't feel like inciting a brawl, risking the health of our players, and getting some guys suspended.

Now 4-2 Brewers as the Cards score in the 7th and are still batting

totally disagree. No one likes to get hit...it hurts. If the league knows for a fact you will retaliate...it will let their pitchers know that they don't want to get hit because they threw inside.

Whenever Sir Albert got hit with the Cards...someone paid the price.
Not this year...maybe a Wild Card
