Just wondering if anyone who was at the game can provide more information on how this got started.
I'm guessing it had to do with it being Bark At The Park Night. Probably a dog started to howl, and a few drunk fans joined in.

This is going to stick... the tri-state is infected now. I don't even think a road trip can save us now. Sorry fellas.

Theory: Bark in the park combined with 13th inning, midnight, slap-happy, bored crowd, and Broxton's Howl at the Moon music intro.
For every action there is an equal and opposite criticism.

Hugs, smiling, and interactive Twitter accounts, don't mean winning baseball. Until this community understands that we are cursed to relive the madness.

What's the point? It's just random howling that is nothing but annoying.I seriously won't be able to listen to the game while I watch if it continues.

They only started it in like the 8th inning. Not really a big deal.

They've been doing it in Pittsburgh especially when the Bucs or Penguins are losing (according to my Pittsburgh brother-in-law). Not good. No longer a fan.

My thoughts exactly. I'm especially for it if it's used like a rally cap or rally monkey, rather than all game long. It's the Queen City, but it's anything but regal. If we can't be clever, let's be loud.

What if the organization begins to kick fans out of games who do it for fear of distracting the players?

Kick fans out of the game for being vocal?

    Oh crap, you're right: http://deadspin.com/5940688/pnc-park...ture-boy-calls

I'm over it, although we should be able to find something else equally bizarre/hilarious. Or maybe a team song that's sung at random moments throughout the game like in soccer.
