I'm in my mid 20's, I hate when Mr. Red, Rosie, Gapper, etc. stand in the aisle and take pictures during the game. Thus, you can imagine my feelings on the woo. During game four last year, I had a guy ejected for it, he was getting on mine and everyone in the section's nerves. He was drunk and obnoxious, when he was escorted out we all did the woo. I don't feel bad, wooing is a disgrace to the game and it's down right rude to fellow fans. I would rather hear someone cuss or have a child kick the back of my seat for nine innings as opposed to listening to that nonsense.

Who would've ever guessed there'd be thousands of other people at a game?

Yes, I'm also one of those weirdos who won't return to his seat mid inning.

First of all, I have no idea what generation you come from. Second, I have personally experienced more selfish rudeness in the last decade than I have for the majority of my life. That rudeness has not come from folks of my own generation. I can't magically make that disappear, though I wish I could.

Maybe the howl is payback for the wave?
"This isn’t stats vs scouts - this is stats and scouts working together, building an organization that blends the best of both worlds. This is the blueprint for how a baseball organization should be run. And, whether the baseball men of the 20th century like it or not, this is where baseball is going."---Dave Cameron, U.S.S. Sounds like a devastating weapon from a Japanese anime, the howl-wave motion gun. Attach it to a giant robot Gary Glitter and you get the obnoxious baseball fan Voltron.

I have noticed that when the wave goes over me, everyone goes "woooo".

    Re: The Howl

Were there faint attempts at a howl in yesterday's game or was I hearing the wave on the radio?
