Followed by Leake with a sacrifice bunt. Kind of wish they'd just let him hit.

Leake does all of the other things really well. Great fielder, great bunter, great hitting pitcher, great baserunner for a pitcher...when he can give you 6 innings and 3 runs or so he's the kinda guy that gives your team a great chance to win.

It is amazing that Stubbs has so few doubles with the speed that he possesses.

I'm not saying he's actually getting on base, I'm saying if they're working on his hitting then at least there's a glimmer of progress shining through.

Agree.....but he came in two steps immediately....which puts him at 4 extra steps and he only missed it by a step.

Boom goes the dynamite. I am calling Stubbs' shot for him.

Three grounders to short for Stubbs in four innings of play.

Well Stubbs' work with Jacoby has mastered that groundball to SS. I hear next they'll be working on the flyball to the CFer.

No strikeouts yet for Stubbs somehow makes this his best game in weeks.

Disagree completely.....I need to see a gapper once every 23 games....he hasn't had a single one. Trace his numbers as far back as you choose....but 3 easy grounders to SS and swinging early to avoid whiffing just isn't cutting it.

I actually agree with you. I don't see the purpose of putting Stubbs in over Heisey at all at this point. However, if he is going to be in the game, I'd rather see him making some contact with the ball rather than strikeout after strikeout.

Wow. Im my opinion, that was a championship caliber inning of heads-up baseball.
