Votto robbed of a hit and RBI by Holt.

    1-1 after 5.

Good news is that Burnett is at 88 pitches.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

    Bummer...

Has Votto had any days off since his return?

How about the fact that maybe the best hitter in baseball is up right now.
He's right though. With two outs a runner would likely score from second on a hit anyhow. But the advancement to third opens up the possibility of scoring in any number of bizarre ways.

I don't think so. He smashed that ball into the shift.

Would like to see Joey generate some power. That's where his knee injury showed up before the surgery. I sense it is coming up soon. He's hit a few balls with authority, like that last one.

Yes, but it's a bit repetitive to keep reciting how a run can score from third. We all know a wild pitch can score a run from third.

The main takeaway from the Valdez at bat is that it put Joey in position to hit with men on base.

Bailey at 92 pitches, Burnett at 88. Just about even in the sixth.

Should he just not say anything? His job is to analyze. In my opinion, advancing that extra base is worth mentioning.

Presley owns the Reds for some reason.

Welsh tells us why it's good for the Bucs that Presley is on third rather than on second.

    Enough.

    And the squeeze backfires.
