But then what about the passed ball?
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

If we have a better record than the Giants, why will they have home field advantage?

The stupid playoff schedule baseball is going with this one year where the 1 and 2 seeds will start with 2 road games and then have 3 home games in the first round.

I would be open to Gregorius being the back up infielder during the playoffs....he has hit the ball hard most at bats..let's see what he can do this month. Let him have a chance. Especially this series before Cozart comes back.

However we all know he has no chance of making the post season roster...no chance. Valdez is written in stone.
Valdez is a pro who has played in pennant races and big games. He can't hit, but he's had a few big hits this year. Reds aren't going to replace him with a guy who played at AA and AAA this year.

To read the game thread, you'd think the rest of the club is clobbering the ball and the only problem is Wilson Valdez.

This year it's 2 games at the lower seeded teams park and then 3 games at the higher seed instead of the normal 2-2-1 format.

I have heard a lot of talk about Gregorious or Cingrani being on the postseason roster. In fact Hal McCoy had it in his article today.

Unless I am completely wrong I thought you had to be on the 25 man roster on August 31st to be eligible.

So the team with the best record could be down 0-2....that crazy...

God forbid we do a 2-2-1 like they have done it for years.

It is insane but to save travel days they are doing it this one year and going back to 2-2-1 next year.

Braves tied up Marlins and are in extras. Atlanta just swept Washington, playing good ball of late.

Hope Dusty and Price keep close watch on Homer now. He's pitching a gem, but with our bullpen, there's no reason to lift him. Three runs is not that much and he is sitting at 84 pitches.
