I'm looking at the schedule around the majors this week and just about every single series has some kind of meaning this time in September. That second wild card is the greatest thing that's happened to baseball in a long time. The only really two non factor games are Cleveland/Minnesota and Arizona/San Diego although you can argue that game still has some meaning being both teams are not out of it completely

I don't care if he throws 3 complete games, I don't trust him in the rotation come playoff time.

I think that you HAVE to put him on the playoff roster. Just In the case that Homer or anyone goes out there and gives up 5 or 6 runs in the first inning of a game, you bring him in to pitch the rest of it and it saves your bullpen. Also he can hit and pinch run in an emergency. Right now the Reds have a luxury of 35 players, it won't be that way in the playoffs

Honestly, has anyone ever seen a poorer batsmen than Wilson Valdez.

Valdez should be hitting 9th. So he can sacrifice Leake over.

I agree 100 percent. Way too inconsistent to start unless someone goes down with an injury
